New website takes the biscuit
Companies can now get the market research they need even more easily after a leading company recently launched a revamped website. Based in Bishopthorpe, near York, Pickersgill Consultancy and Planning Ltd. (PCP) has a new digital showcase highlighting their award-winning services to the world.
“We discovered that more than 25% of potential clients were viewing our website on a mobile phone or a tablet,” explains Managing Director Peter Pickersgill. “We therefore decided to commission a responsive website to provide a more seamless experience on these devices.”
Peter started his career at Rowntree in York, modelling and forecasting statistics. This led to some interesting appointments, not least as Chairman of the Biscuit, Cake, Chocolate and Confectionery Alliance’s Statistics Committee. The majority of PCP staff are local to the area or studied in York, so he was keen to use York businesses for the project. After a rigorous selection process, PCP choose Hiscox Business Club members Nima Consultancy and Ink Gardener Copywriting and Social Media as their suppliers.
“Given we conduct surveys and questionnaires, it was a little strange being the ones quizzed about our business,” says Peter. “However, it was good to take a fresh look at how we explained the many services we offer. We also took the opportunity to prioritise which case studies to feature. With more than two decades in business, from automotive to leisure, education to finance, we had more than 60 to choose from so it was quite the task!”
